Trying to come up with my favorite mug is like choosing a favorite child. I don’t buy sets of mugs. Each one is unique and has been chosen or given to me because of the meaning.
There are a lot that are from traveling or shows that we love. Honestly, though, the vast majority are geek mugs. They are from The Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, and a couple of cartoons like Betty Boop and Marvin the Martian.
This is one of two Marvin mugs. I’ve had it for years and it’s my go-to mug when I want a pot of tea and am too lazy to keep returning to the kitchen for a refill. Why?
I just measured it and it holds 3 1/2 cups of liquid! I can sit and read and sip and not have to get up. Doesn’t that make it a perfect mug that doubles as a teapot?
Yes, I sometimes have coffee in it. But really, it’s my teapot. And Marvin makes me smile every time I use it.
I don’t buy mug sets either, we just have lots of random ones we’ve collected between us. Mr F would be very jealous of your mug, he loves big mugs. Thank you so much for joining in with the first week of #SWAP 🙂
