It was the third day she had been doing yoga. She wasn’t really into the spiritual side, but she thought it was a good way to start the new year. Who couldn’t use a little peace?
Jasper was outside working on the car and she unfolded the mat and turned on the video. Sitting down, she closed her eyes and tried to bat away all of the random thoughts. The laundry and cleaning the bathroom could wait for half an hour. Inhale. Exhale.
She focused on breathing and the feeling of the sun on her legs. Moving into the next pose and inhaling deeply.
In the background, she heard the door open. She pushed away the urge to open her eyes and tried to concentrate. Until she could feel eyes on her and they weren’t the cat’s.
She refused to open her eyes and acknowledge him. Inhaling again, she moved into the plank and kept her eyes focused on the mat. Maybe he’d get the hint and wait until she was done.
No such luck. “Hey, Trish, do you know where I put that new socket set that you gave me for Christmas?”
Inhale. Exhale. “No. And I’m a little busy. Can’t this wait?” The next inhale wasn’t quite as peaceful and the exhale was definitely more of an exasperated grunt. Down to the mat for Cobra.
“I guess. I knew we wanted to go out later and was trying to get this finished. Finish your…posing.” She heard him shuffle off to the bedroom behind her. Inhale. Exhale. Be present, dammit.
As she moved into Warrior, she could see him reflected in the TV. He was watching her. A flash of annoyance quickly changed to a chance to torment him. She wiggled her butt in her yoga pants as she settled into the pose. Inhale. Exhale. Wiggle.
It probably wasn’t the most effective yoga workout she would ever have, but it was a lot of fun watching him adjust himself as he watched her. He did always have a thing for her in yoga pants. As she lay on her back at the end, she felt him over her. She opened one eye and looked at him. “Yes?”
“I can wait.”
Inhale. Exhale. As the video ended, she opened her eyes. Sighing, she said, “Let’s go look for the socket set.”
His eyes didn’t move from hers. “Socket set?”
“You know, what you came in here for?”
“Oh. Yeah. Um, ok. If you want.”
“Did you change your mind?”
“Maybe.” His eyes undressed her as she sat up.
“Use your words, Jas.”
“Words? How about just my tongue?” He pulled off his shirt and sat at her feet. He put his fingers in the waistband of her pants and lifted an eyebrow. “May I?”
She nodded. So maybe she’d just work on being present in another way, she thought as he undressed her. The sun continued to warm her as he positioned himself between her legs.
Your story reminded me of when I was lying in Shavasana after a yoga practice and my cat kept scratching the door, wanting to leave the room. So much for quiet meditation 🙁
I loved how on prompt your story was, thanks for joining Erotic Fiction Deluxe again 🙂
