M is for Movie (Theatre)

It was date night and he had chosen a movie. She always loved going to the movies, especially the new theatre that had booze and unlimited popcorn with recliners.

The movie he had picked, though? It was definitely not their favorite genre. She watched the trailer again thinking that she must have missed something. Nope–she was really confused by his choice.

They went out for a relaxing dinner before the movie. The steak was cooked perfectly and the service was just as good as always. She thought about asking him about the movie, but decided that maybe she was just learning something new about him.

Even stranger? When they found their seats, he had picked ones all the way in the back of the theatre. It wasn’t crowded so he had to have chosen them on purpose.

They ordered drinks and popcorn and watched the trailers. As the theatre darkened all the way, he asked her to hold the popcorn bowl for a second. She grabbed it and watched as he lifted the console between the two seats.

“Thanks,” he whispered as he took it back and scooted closer to her. He put his arm around her and snuggled close.

As the stars started to scroll across the screen, one of her favorites was listed as a feature. She hadn’t noticed him in the trailer she had watched. She settled back. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad, after all.

He, of course, had a very small cameo which was why he hadn’t been shown in the trailer. He still was hot and it made the rest of the ridiculousness worthwhile.

Jake’s hand started rubbing her leg. Well, not just rubbing, but sliding up to the edge of her skirt. She put her hand on top of his and whispered, “Are you crazy?”

He grinned. “Why do you think I picked these seats? No one can see us.”

“They are still coming in and out to serve food and drinks,” she hissed.

“We’re back behind the entrance. They won’t see us unless we ask for a refill. “

She cautiously lifted her hand. He leaned over to kiss her and they almost dropped the popcorn on the floor. He moved it to the seat next to him and kissed her again.

She had no idea what the movie ended up being about. They made out like a couple of horny teenagers in the back of the theatre.

Then they went home and continued the show.

  1. Of course, it would be much easier to sit at home on the couch with a bottle of beer in hand and watch a movie in your home theater. But. This story is about young people (I’m talking here about the youth of the soul, because it is available at any age) who have not lost their feelings. And they remain ready for small adventures that warm up these feelings.
The soul is obliged to work day and night, and day and night!
