Since I have been with Snake more of my life than without him, picking songs becomes a challenge because there are so many.Continue reading “Soundtrack of Charmer and Snake”
Snake and I tend to take quite a few short trips each year. Several to visit family as well as one or two that are just for us to get time to reconnect.Continue reading “We Miss Traveling”
Like most of the rest of the world, we are struggling to find a new normal for the time being. It definitely makes it harder to blog about sexy stuff when everything is so scary around us.Continue reading “Holding On”
I was conducting serious research over what to write today–some might call it scrolling walls and timelines, but I prefer the scholarly view–and found this.Continue reading “Random Thursday Thoughts From Charmer”
I’ve never been the traditional sports person. I know — I’m *so* traditional in all other ways. I did the ballet thing for a year when I was little, twirled a baton for a minute, hiked, tennis with my dad and Tae Kwon Do in high school. Yes, the occasional recital or competition, but nothing really.Continue reading “We Don’t Do Sports, Do We?”
Snake and I have been together for a couple of years now. Just a few. We dated, then we married and had a few date nights here and there. Life gets busy and you figure, “Hey, we see each other all of the time–we don’t need dates.”Continue reading “The Importance of Dating”
When I thought about what to write about my inner voice, I started searching quotes for something that would inspire me. There were so many that talked about always listening to that voice, how it was your true self and that it was more important than listening to others.Continue reading “Shutting Up the Inner Voice”
I’ve never had what I considered a lot of friends. I’ve always been more of a few close friends and a lot of people who I like to do things with. They are casual friends but not the ones who would get a call if I needed something.Continue reading “Friendship”
When I started to think about writing for this prompt, I knew that my answer to “Is home a Place or Person?” had to be both. At least for me.Continue reading “Home is Where You Love”
Needs. Wants. How to figure out which is which and even more important, how to balance it all.
I wish I had a good answer on how I do it. I don’t think that I do it all that well at times. I think that I confuse my own wants and needs quite often. I might think it’s a need, but is it? Or do I just want it so much that I think that I need it?Continue reading “Charmer’s Thoughts on Balancing Needs”
The Christmas piece of this prompt never really applied to me. Yes, we put out cookies and milk for Santa and got a gift on Christmas morning. And, yes, I was told when I questioned if he was “real,” that only kids who believe got gifts from him. But, it was always more of an embodiment of the magic of Christmas rather than a person so it never felt deceitful to me.Continue reading “Bawdy Bells 5 — Lies?”
I admit that when we first started our path through D/s and FLR, rewards and punishment weren’t on the top of my mind. Partly, I think because our relationship had history where Snake tends to do what I like and he rarely fights anything with me unless he feels really strongly about it.Continue reading “Rewards and Punishment from the Charmer Side”
Today has been a day of list making and trying to knock a few things off the list. I have lists for me, lists for Snake, and more lists for work and life. Just as I cross off a few, I always end up adding another to the bottom.Continue reading “Defining Charmer”
Freedom is one of those words that seem to have as many meanings as there are people in the world. I think each one of us has our own definition and how it fits into our life.
Absolute freedom doesn’t really exist in my view. There are always things that impede on that even if you are alone. Eating is kind of important to me and I like indoor plumbing. That said, I decided to focus on freedom as it applies more to our blog.Continue reading “Choose Freedom”
As most of you know, we live in the desert. Not the sand dunes and tumbleweeds kind–well, except for the random crazy ones when we drove to Phoenix once. Our desert is about 2500 feet above sea level and surrounded by mountains so there is a constant variety in our world.Continue reading “Desert Philosophy by Charmer”
Yes, moo. Lol. I was thinking about what song to write about today and I looked through several of my favorites–thanks, Snake, for making me try to come up with three favorites. I can’t come up with three. Music is totally dependent on my mood and I go from country to rock to show tunes to pop and all roads in the middle.Continue reading “Moo with Me”
It’s funny, really. I read the posts about things on the /s/ side of life and they really strike a chord with me. Like this post, by Domina Jen. The post isn’t supposed to be about /s/ types, it’s about Dommes and the responsibilities and coolness associated with that, but there it is again – the weirdness associated with being a Man-sub. (Is that a thing? Ya know, like a man-cub, but… )Continue reading “Core Sub Issues”
I’m a klutz. The number of ways that I have managed to cut, bruise, scrape, etc., various parts of my body is a marvel.Continue reading “ISTP”
There are days when writing this blog is easy. Two or three posts will come out with no effort at all. Other times, I scan memes and other blog posts and I stare at a blank screen. Today, of course, is the latter.Continue reading “Restless”
We’ve not received the volume of negative comments that others do, for that, I’m not at all unhappy. But we did receive one the other day that actually had me thinking.
In essence, (paraphrased) “What makes you so special? FLR and D/s and these things all of you write about don’t make you better than (me) and I’m sick of reading about it. People without this aren’t less happy, less sexy, less (fill in the blank)… Stop dictating how people should live!”
In essence, SHUT UP ABOUT IT.Continue reading “From comment: “What makes you so special?””
