Snake is always a bit cautious when I bring out a die and tell him to roll it. Sunday morning I did and got back, “Why?”

THE GAME started last Wednesday. Just a simple one to start the year. Scrabble, and who doesn’t love Scrabble?
Continue reading “One Week In”S is for Sweat
It was the last day of Locktober and what was the perfect way to end the month of tasks?
Continue reading “S is for Sweat”Scary Stuff
Scary stuff is a weird topic – it’s one of those things that I’ve really tried to wrap my head around, and have written about it a couple of times when it comes specifically to impact play and a few other things.
The basis? Well, why are we so intrigued by, and simultaneously terrified of, many of the different pieces to do with kinky fun? I mean, who can rationally think through stuff and go “I really like when that paddle impacts with me… or rather the aftermath.” No, your brain kicks in, and “WHOA there. That’s some scary stuff! That’s going to HURT! What is going on here?! Run!”
Continue reading “Scary Stuff”C is for Christmas in June
Sure, Christmas in July is a big thing. Actually, I think it’s only a big thing with retail companies trying to create a reason to buy stuff, but maybe that’s just my opinion.
Continue reading “C is for Christmas in June”Music is my thing
I tend to tie music, songs, musical events, etc. – to the things that they happened around. I can hear a song and instantly be at that spot in time, that physical location. I get flooded with sounds, sights, smells, even the temperatures of the moment.
Continue reading “Music is my thing”M is for (And the) Moment is Gone
I am weirdly spontaneous and a planner all at the same time. I love just deciding to spring things on Snake. But I need the idea of planning for the future as well.

I saw a quote online today that basically said that as a parent you are expected to guide someone else while still trying to figure out what you want to do when you grow up.

Curious… as a cat
Curiosity in this thing we do… is dangerous. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made a passing comment about “did you see that thing on that blog?” – I don’t often mean it as more than a “huh, that’s different…” and yet quite often, I’ll get a message back that simply states…
“Get it please.”

So, yes, we dance and perform. That’s nothing that anyone who has read the blog for a while will not know.

So after my post last week, you probably think I’m going to write about drama llamas for this prompt. Newp.
Continue reading “D is for Drama”M is for Map Reading
Yes, I am old enough to remember having to navigate by either atlas or state map when we were doing road trips. In fact, I still prefer “seeing” where I need to go rather than being directed that way by GPS.

Looking back over the past 6+ years, you’d think that most popular posts would be somewhat evenly spread over the time. Nope.

I saw this quote and it just made me laugh because I have THAT memory too.

M is for Marlborough
If you’ve followed us at all, you know that we love a good glass of wine. A wine tasting is even better and Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, NZ, is our absolute favorite.
Continue reading “M is for Marlborough”A is for Advice
I’ve never really given or asked for a lot of advice. Cynically maybe, it feels like when I’ve been asked for advice, it isn’t really that they want advice. They want me to tell them that what they want to do is right rather than really wanting advice.

We are primarily a family of cats. We’ve had two dogs and do love dogs, but cats fit our lifestyle.

In the beforetimes (yes, it is a word), we spent a lot of weekend time at restaurants and movies and other activities out of the house.
Continue reading “G is for Gaming”W is for Wilderness
Growing up in Colorado, wilderness was never that far away. We could go to the mountains and be away from people and civilization pretty easily. After we moved to Tucson, there still is a certain amount of that with the surrounding mountain ranges.

On the first day of my people who influenced me month, I have to choose Snake. Partly because he’s my person, duh, but also because his birthday is tomorrow.

I am an introvert. Technically, we both are, although Snake tolerates noise and extroverts much better than I do.
Continue reading “I is for Introvert”C is for Courage
I don’t tend to think of myself as a terribly courageous person. Not in a self-deprecating way, but more just as a I just do what I need to do and move on.

I don’t really have any music that I head to when I’m sad or upset. I tend to only listen to music when I’m happy.
