“What should I wish for?” He turned to see her holding a dandelion between her fingers.
“A million dollars,” he laughed. “Or make it a trillion.”
She frowned. “I was being serious. Don’t be a jerk.”
“You don’t actually believe that you’ll get a wish from a weed, right?”
“You think that you have a lucky shirt. How’s mine any different?”
He paused. “Fair point. What do you want to wish for?”
“World peace seems a bit much for such a small plant to muster. Something smaller and more attainable,” she nodded.
“How about wishing for a special date night?”
“Hmm. But I can’t tell you my wish, so the chances seem slim that the wish would come true.”
“You need to trust the process if you are going to make the wish. You won’t know unless you try.”
She closed her eyes and then blew the dandelion fluff into the light breeze. “So, where are we going?”
“I don’t know yet. I thought I’d let you drive. Seems like we might have a better chance of fulfilling that wish if you did.” He smiled and took her in his arms.
