If you’ve followed us at all, you know that we love a good glass of wine. A wine tasting is even better and Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, NZ, is our absolute favorite.
In March 2017 we took a fabulous cruise from Sydney to New Zealand and one of our stops happened to be in Marlborough. We did a tasting excursion and this place was one of our favorites while we were there.
Of course, shipping from NZ to the US isn’t easy or cheap. We had seen it available in a few places here, but it was expensive or not the right wine.
We happened to be at our favorite wine place a couple of weeks ago and I happened to see that they were now carrying it!
We bought a couple of bottles, and then had a trip out of town before we could open them. This past weekend, we did.
It was just as good as we remembered and it was so wonderful to relive that piece of a fabulous trip.
How exciting is this? And totally an “Mmm…”
Oh, it’s always lovely to come across a treasure such as this. Those grapes are so tiny! I guess it’s true, great things in small packages and all that 🙂
And they taste nothing like the wine! But it was wonderful to find it
I have had to stop drinking unfortunately but Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc was also one of my favourites. Glad you found ams enjoyed it! Missy x
