And onward to 2022. I’m not going to wish that it’s better than the last. I’m afraid of tempting the Fates. Lol.
Yes, I know that the typical prompt is something about starting fresh or such. And with last month being happy endings, it would make sense.
But, come on. It’s me. When have I ever truly made sense?
I found this quote and decided that it was the perfect one for the beginning of the year.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
Neil Gaiman
So the prompt for January is Mistakes. The ones that make us groan, or feel triumphant in a breaking free kind of way. The kind that mean we are living and learning and reaching.
Use this prompt however you want. You can talk about mistakes where you learned something about yourself, things that you regret or things that you realized were a good thing in disguise. Poetry, fiction, non-fiction, photography–whatever medium you prefer.

Excellent prompt. I’ve already got a post started!
Yay!
Great prompt. I am writing one too. I was glad to see this as I keep missing your prompts and the realise too late. I will try to do better this year. xx
