H is for Hide and Seek

The castle is old. Really old. And definitely had seen better days. But it seemed like a good place to stop for a picnic lunch before we headed on.

We ate under a nearby tree since the weather was sunny and warm. The forecasted rain seems to have moved on and we decided to do a little exploring of the ruins before we left.

We head through the weeds and find an area that is much more pristine that the outside looked. The arches are beautiful and we start wandering. As I turn a corner, I realize that you can’t see me and I take off a shoe and leave it.

I drop another shoe behind the next arch, followed by shorts, my shirt and a bra.

“Where are you?” I hear you call out.

“Follow the breadcrumbs.”

“The what?”

“Breadcrumbs.”

“I don’t…oh! Are you seriously walking barefoot around this place?”

“Are you seriously thinking about that instead of what else I’m not wearing?”

“Good point.”

I can hear you wandering around and picking up the dropped items. “Make sure you don’t miss any or you’ll have to go back.”

“How would I know?”

“You’ll just have to be observant.”

I can hear you pick up the underwear and step into the room. “I have 6 items. Is that right?”

“Indeed. Now would you like to come serve your queen?”
