We sit talking in the cabin, just the two of us. There is a slight breeze coming through the window and it is catching the candle flame and making it sway.
We sit and look through the window at the lake nearby. There are birds playing near the edge and we can see the occasional fish jump.
These are our favorite times. Talking. Sharing a glass of wine. Sometimes just being quiet but being together.
As the sun starts to dip down lower on the horizon, the candle is almost out.
I take your hand and pull you to me. Kissing. Hugging. Just connecting.
The world outside might be crazy and scary. But in here, together, that little flame keeps us warm.
