Colder Weather (Zac Brown Band)

We stand beside each, holding hands, left to right, waiting. The music starts and we begin. I turn into your embrace and we move together across the floor, slow, slow, triple step, triple step.

She’d trade Colorado if he’d take her with him
Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in,
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay

As the lyrics begin I pull away to an Arabesque and then we come together again, weaving in and out, my skirt swinging. I turn and dip, hitting the lyrics perfectly and we pause.

She’s answered by the tail lights
Shining through the window pane

Then quickly we spin, before a quick around the world dip and then, I come at you, pushing you in front of me before I spin away.

She said you’re ramblin’ man
You ain’t ever gonna change
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin’

The music swells and we cross the floor diagonally, then quickly turn into a carousel, my leg in the air as you turn as around.

Well, it’s a winding road
When you’re in the lost and found
You’re a lover – I’m a runner
And we go ’round ‘n ’round

Then we move to the front of the dance floor, you offer your hand and I turn into you, and you lift me up, spinning as the music continues.

You know it’s you that calls me back here, baby

We cross the front of the floor, and then we separate, dramatic pause before I turn, look at you and run towards you, music matching each movement.

As I reach you, you balance me, taking my weight and turn me away from you as the lyrics begin again, dropping to one knee as I bend back towards you. Then, you spin me back and I stroke your face before spinning away again.

Oh I wanna see you again
But I’m stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then?

You come to me, take my shoulder and again, I spin away, locking eyes with you, as I back away.

Cause I’m a ramblin’ man
I ain’t ever gonna change (I ain’t ever gonna change)
I got a gypsy soul to blame
And I was born for leavin’ (born for leavin’)

Just as the music ends, I look back at you for one beats, two beats.

And you come to me.
